The League attempts to keep up with modern procedures and policies. But obviously being an organisation with a wealth of experience and diverse backgrounds, echoes this with its policies.
Over the past two years (encouraged by the new chairman) the following have introduced have been introduced or changed.
The 'Leagues' Constitution has been revised.
We have attempted to achieve a recognisable IDENTITY by the introduction of UNIFORM winter jackets, Signage where possible associates the League with the activity (for example the NEW Help Desk sign). New Tabards have been introduced (suitably coloured and embroidered). Suitable Badges are soon to be introduced for wear in the summer.
A new service has been introduced in A&E department. This is the supply of refreshments (tea and Coffee) to waiting patients. Along with this we offer a 'Listening Ear' for the friends accompanying patients.
Realising the publicity is important we now have the Deputy Chairman acting as Publicity Officer along with Mr Joe Wright who acts as our official Photographer.
We have not however actively accepted the new NO SMOKING rule.
